Expositio super Cantica Canticorum [máldagar title]

Note
Due to the large number of commentaries on the Song of Songs, it is impossible to finally connect this entry with any author or title. Most likely candidate might be Gregory the Great since other entries refer to his exposition and many copies are preserved (175 mss). Other possible authors of an "expositio" are: Stephanus Langton (8 mss), Bruno Signinus episcopus (1 ms), Cassiodorus Senator pseudo (3 mss), Gaufridus Autissiodorunensis (2 mss), Honorius Augustodunensis presbyter et scholasticus (150 mss) Richardus de Sancto Victore pseudo (19 mss), Willirammus Ebersbergensis abbas (46 mss) and Beda Venerabilis (16 mss). There also exists a large number of "commentaria" and "sermones" on the Song of Songs. For details conduct search in mirabileweb.it.
